Looking after your Hiild knitwear
Every Hiild piece is made by hand using a combination of natural fibres and multiple strands of yarn knitted together. Please take care as pulls may occur if one or more strands get snagged on something. This can be worked back into shape with a bit of care and gentle manipulation, but please reach out for assistance if you need it.
Due to the natural fibres and each piece being handmade, there may be the odd "imperfection." I like to look at this as part of your unique knit's character and part of the story of its creation.
Over time and with wear, wool and alpaca can start to pill. This is a natural part of the process as the finer, short fibres raise to the surface and can be easily remedied with a fabric shaver. Please do not use scissors in case you accidentally snip the yarn!
Brushed alpaca used in some garments also has the tendency to malt, only a little. A lint roller is best to remove any loose fibres.
